Mobile Diesel Technician

About the Position

MFS Fleet Service is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team in the Redlands / Temecula areas.

This is a full-time, mobile/on-site position with guaranteed hours. The technician will travel to customer locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

We provide all tools, equipment, and a fully equipped service truck, allowing you to focus on getting the job done safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

-Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.

-Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including brake repair, transmission work, alignment, and suspension adjustments.

-Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repair and fabrication work.

-Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic components.

-Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.

-Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Operate heavy equipment as necessary for testing or repair purposes.

-Troubleshoot wiring and electrical issues.

-Proven experience as a diesel technician.

-Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics.

-Familiarity with OEM specifications for various equipment brands, including Caterpillar.

-Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

-Ability to lift heavy equipment as required during repairs.

-Knowledge of assembly processes for various mechanical components.

-Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot wiring issues effectively.

-Excellent problem-solving skills.

-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
